What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is just 12 glasses, with bulk tiers as quantities grow. Pints, rocks glasses, highballs, etched pieces, mason jars and shot glass sets all carry the same minimum.

How fast will my glassware arrive?

Accepted Answer

Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and glassware ships in about 2 weeks. Fired ceramic decoration and presentation boxing can add a few days, and we confirm a real ship date in writing before you commit rather than after.

Question 3

Which printing method survives a commercial dishwasher?

Accepted Answer

Fired ceramic ink. It is a glass frit that goes through a lehr at roughly 1100 to 1250 degrees Fahrenheit and fuses into the surface, so the decoration becomes glass and there is nothing left to abrade away. Organic epoxy and UV-cure inks are cured at low temperature and sit on the surface as a film; they look excellent, they cost less, and under caustic commercial detergent at high temperature they fade and wear, typically somewhere between a few dozen and a few hundred cycles. We ask how the glass will be washed before we recommend a method.

Why do you keep decoration away from the rim?

Because the rim is the part that reaches a mouth, and the sensible practice in this trade is to keep all decoration at least about 20mm below it and off the interior entirely. The rule exists because ceramic frit historically carried lead and cadmium; modern compliant enamels are formulated for the purpose, and we still hold the line. A supplier willing to wrap a print over the lip for a better photograph is telling you how they treat the parts you cannot see.

Can you etch instead of printing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and for awards, gifts and long-life hospitality glassware it is often the better answer. Sandblast and laser etching remove surface material rather than adding a coating, so the mark is permanent and immune to any wash. Two honest limits: it renders as a single frosted tone, so line art and solid shapes translate while gradients and photographs do not; and on tempered glass we keep the depth shallow, because the toughening lives in a thin compressive surface layer.

Will the printed colour match my brand exactly?

Accepted Answer

On an organic print, very closely. On a fired ceramic print, close but not exactly, and we will show you a fired sample rather than a screen proof. Firing at over eleven hundred degrees changes pigments, so a colour is specified from a fired reference rather than from a Pantone chip. Some brand colours simply do not exist in a fired enamel, and where that is true we will tell you at quote stage rather than after the run.

Should I order tempered or annealed glass?

Accepted Answer

Tempered for bar service, annealed for retail and gifting. Tempering makes glass considerably more resistant to thermal shock and impact, which matters when a glass moves between a hot wash and an ice well all day. It is not unbreakable, and when it fails it fails suddenly into small blunt pieces. Annealed stock allows a thinner, finer wall, which usually looks better in the hand where service durability is not the point.

Why did my artwork come out distorted on a tapered glass?

Accepted Answer

Because artwork laid out flat does not map onto a cone. As the diameter changes up the wall, straight lines curve and text arcs. It is corrected by compensating the artwork for that specific taper before the screen is made, which we do as standard, and it is why we proof on the actual glass shape. On a heavy-based rocks glass there is a second effect: the base acts as a lens, so we keep the decoration in the upper two thirds of the wall.
